J. A. Huss - Three, Two, One

ONE GIRL

Battered, barefoot, and huddled under a bookstore awning in the pouring rain, Blue only knows one thing. After fifteen months of captivity, finally… she is free.

TWO FRIENDS

Self-made millionaires JD and Ark are not out to save anyone when they stumble upon a wet and shivering girl one early Sunday morning. But when you sell sex for a living and salvation rings your bell… you answer the call.

THREE SOULMATES

After years of searching, love lifts the veil of darkness, and three people—with three very big secrets—find themselves bound together in a relationship that defies the odds.

Or does it?

Love. Lust. Sex.

This trinity might be perfection… but not everything should come in 3’s.

WARNING: This is a STANDALONE non-traditional M/F/M ROMANCE with a non-traditional ending.

***{5 stars}***

Everyone was talking about this book, it sounded interesting enough. So I took the chance.
My review is in two parts, the two halves of this story.

The first 50% of this book was confusing, I couldn't really tell where all this was going. Two guys who make porn? Public porn clips? It was a turn-off for sure, the characters weren't captivating enough for me to get past the odd aspect of this story. There were just too many empty holes in the storyline for me to become emotionally involved. So I would have given it just 2 stars and walked away. But something kept me picking this one up.

The final 50% of this book is what hooked me. The story started to evolve. The secrets, the lies, the truth about Blue. It was all starting to make sense, but there were still some secrets to tell. But while we are picking our way thru the web, the THREE are trying to love each other. I have read threesome books with M/M characters. But this was different. Ark is a reluctant partner in the "three", his love for JD is not something that is sexual based and it keeps him from truly embracing the relationship. Plus his lies are going to undo everything he has built. Ark has become lost in his own way that we don't truly find out until the final explosive moment where the THREE collide. I was not expecting the collision. It was a daring move on the authors part to pull that one off. It was a sad moment. And even though this is a non-traditional ending, the ending was perfect for this story. And that is how it turned my 2 rating into a 5. Emotionally riveting, unconventional in every way. But a love story none the less.
