C.M. Stunich-Craving Me, Desiring You (Triple M #4)

Austin and Amy have had a whirlwind romance – sexy biker boy meets innocent Southern girl. But relationships grow and change, and the true test of love is seeing if it can roll with the punches. As President of Triple M, Austin has a lot of new responsibilities. The club is transitioning from their nomadic lifestyle and just in time, too.

Austin may have more to worry about than just motorcycles, madness, and money. Something new, something blue, and something...else... And it's not just Beck and Tease's exciting news that's getting to him. Austin Sparks has never been a single woman man and now, it's looking like he's forever going to be.

Austin loves Amy, but can he make the ultimate commitment? And at the same time demons are howling around, threatening to tear their new security apart? The past has a way of catching up with us, and Triple M has its fair share of devils. Broken Dallas and Bested by Crows aren't convinced that revenge is a dish best served cold. Not by a long shot.

It would be a shame if Amy had to pay the ultimate price for it.

This has never been your typical MC series. They were a nomadic bunch, so there was no "clubhouse" drama, womanizing parties, etc. But they did get into a lot of usual MC trouble with other MC's. That being said, I'm sure it is always difficult to end a series, when do you let it go because it will become stale and boring. Or do you end it before the whole story is really told (in the readers opinion). I think this one ended at just the right time, there really isn't much more you can do with this one except give us a couple more "couples". And I think that would have pushed it into boring. As it was I didn't quite "buy" this one. As much as I love Austin, Amy and the crew, it just seemed forced in some way. The down home southern sayings and "sugar" endearments was a little to much for me, it didn't work. And the constant war with the other merged MC was a lost cause set on repeat. Liked it, didn't love it, but it does give the reader a nice tidy ending that everyone will enjoy.

Callie Hart-Burn (Blood and Roses #3)

Please be aware that this is a Dark Romance novel and deals with serious themes, including violence and murder.

Sloane

I’m not safe.
I haven’t been safe for a while now.

I ran to Zeth for protection, but Zeth is in danger himself. With Julio on one side, and the leader of the Widow Makers MC on the other, the smartest thing to do would be to run. I’ve been running long enough, though.

This is the closest I’ve come to finding my sister in two years. I can’t back down now.

Zeth

My right hand man’s being tortured in the basement.
The guy who tried to buy Sloane’s virginity is burning rubber in our direction.
My psychotic boss is on a mission to find me, and the girl I’m supposed to be keeping safe has landed herself right in the middle of all of this.

Just another breezy weekend in the Californian desert.

What could possibly go wrong in the next 48 hours?

{5 stars}
Callie Hart is killing me with this cliff hanger, and it's not really your typical cliff hanger. I just desperately need to know what happens next with Zeth and Sloane....

"Zeth is dangerous in a primal, instinctive way. It's just who he is. It's the foundation of everything that makes him him."

We left off in the second book with everyone converging on the brothel in the desert. All kinds of secrets start coming out and we get to know more of Zeth's history. We get to see Zeth's walls crack just a little bit towards Sloane. He's letting her in, he may not want to, but she's there. She fights with him, and doesn't ask the usual things women ask of him. That's appealing and scary for him all at the same time. I just love this series! Zeth is so Alpha, he's scary and sexy all rolled up in one bad ass character. And Sloane is just as strong a character to stand up to him when needed and woman enough to bend to his will when it suits her. Great Chemistry. Can't wait for the next one!

Callie Hart-Fracture (Blood and Roses #2)

Zeth Mayfair is pretty much the very last thing I need in my life. And yet with every breath I take he becomes more engrained in every aspect of it:

He has a key to my house.

He knows where I work.

He dumped his strange, mentally traumatized housemate on my doorstep and has driven off into the sunset in search of my missing sister.

I want to forget him. Want to change the locks and blot out his face, scourge his very name from my memory. The problem is that I also need him. I need him more than I need air to breath, and I can’t be without him now.

{5 stars}

"You may think you have been ready to beg, to straight up murder to feel someone inside you, but until you've had this.....
until Zeth Mayfair is on his knees...."

Zeth Mayfair has just topped out as one of my top 3 book boyfriends! This series just keeps getting better. There is nothing fluffy and romantic about Zeth and Sloane, their story is completely raw. I don't know how else to say it. Yeah there are mob bosses, violence, secrets, and truckloads of emotional childhood baggage. But they work, they are like 2 magnets that can't possible stay away from each other. And when they collide with each other (and not always in a bed), it's explosive and captivating. Each move they make just makes me want to know how this will all end. And I'm just hoping they all come out alive and with some semblance of an HEA.

Callie Hart-Deviant (Blood and Roses#1)

Sloane

I'm not proud of the things I've done.
The things I've had to do.
The things I've given away.
but I'd give it all over again to find her.
Even if i die trying,
I have to find Alexis.

Zeth

She wants me to help her,
But I won't.
She wants me to save her sister,
But I can't.
She wants me to be her hero,
But I'm not a good man.

I am her damnation.

"He bites down on his bottom lip, tugging between his teeth,
and I know I'm ruined. I'm ruined for every other man
on the face of the planet"

I'm completely mesmerized by this book, hook, line, and deviant. It may seem that Sloane fall a little to easily, but when you have someone as dominant and irresistible as Zeth. You just seem to melt into him and do whatever he asks, because you know he will please you when he is pleased. Sick huh? But weirdly hot too, can't wait to see how this all plays out.

Lili St. Germain-Four Score (Gypsy Brothers #4)

Love and hate aren’t all that different.
Two sides of the same coin, the yin and the yang.

Once upon a time, Jason Ross loved me. And now that he knows what I’ve done, I see the love and the hate warring within him.

I see the way he looks at me.
The way he wonders how I could do the things I’ve done.
I hear it in the way he begs me to stop, to leave this life and run away with him.

But there’s only one way I’m leaving LA.
And that’ll be when Dornan and the rest of his sons are dead and buried.
Jase might forgive me for what I’ve done.
But will he forgive me for the crimes I’m yet to commit?

{5 stars}

What are you doing to me? Just when we get the glimpse at what could be with Jase you rip the rug out from under us again. Lili St. Germain, you are the new reigning queen of cliff hangers!

Unlike with the first 3 books, we are at a point where Julz "Sammi" has to wait out the results of her bomb attempt on Dornan. So we don't have any active death attempts going on. But while we are waiting Julz and Jase are coming to terms with what happened to both of them and the fallout afterwards. So much turmoil, we now get to find out just a small part of what happened to Jase after her "death". How are they ever going to be able to be happy with each other? So much damage, but first they both have to live thru what comes next......

Darynda Jones-Sixth Grave on the Edge (Charley Davidson #6)

Adult Paranormal Romance-17+

Few things in life can come between a grim reaper and her coffee, but the sexy, sultry son of Satan is one of them. Now that Reyes Farrow has asked for her hand, Charley Davidson feels it's time to learn more about his past, but Reyes is reluctant to open up. When the official FBI file of his childhood abduction lands in her lap, Charley decides to go behind her mysterious beau’s back and conduct her own investigation. Because what could go wrong?

Unfortunately, another case has fallen into her lap—one with dangerous implications. Some very insistent men want Charley to hunt down a witness who is scheduled to testify against their boss, a major player in the local crime syndicate. If Charley doesn't come up with an address in 48 hours, the people closest to her will start to disappear.

Add to that a desperate man in search of the soul he lost in a card game, a dogged mother determined to find the ghost of her son, and a beautiful, young Deaf boy haunted by his new ability to see the departed as clearly as he sees the living, and Charley has her hands full. The fact that Reyes has caught on to her latest venture only adds fuel to the inferno that he is. Good thing for Charley she's used to multi-tasking and always up for a challenge…especially when that challenge comes in the form of Reyes Farrow.

{5 stars}

Charley Davidson's life is just exhausting, if she didn't have an overwhelming amount of coffee, the world would never hear the end of it. Add in that she has the hottest, and most dangerous,  boyfriend on the planet, and you have one funny, super hot, roller coaster ride! I just can't get enough of this series. It's devastating when the book ends, and I have to wait for what feels like forever for the next one.

Unless you have read this series, you won't understand when I say "Here we go again". Naked departed riding around in her jeep. New clients needing "things" found. New players in the whole "end of the world" thing. And everyday things in life like teenage love, bedroom walls missing, and life n death drama. Oh, and did I say she has the hottest boyfriend on the planet? Reyes has been asking her to marry him for some time now, want to know what she said? HaHa, not telling! But I will tell you they give us enough "dream" worthy scenes to carry us on for a while.
And the whole end of the world thing......well, there are some new surprises that will definitely change the game.

J.C. Emery-Rev (Bayonet Scars #3)

Adult Romance-18+-biker

Everyone belongs somewhere. Even the misfits.

With the looming threat from the Mancuso Crime Family, the Forsaken Motorcycle Club is preparing for a war that could destroy them. Grady, the club’s Sergeant-at-Arms, knows that love makes you weak, and he has zero interest in adding to his liabilities– especially now. He’s already got his teenage daughter who keeps him on his toes and a beef within the club that could fracture his relationship with a fellow brother for good.

For Holly Mercer, her life is finally getting on track and the last thing she wants is trouble from her hometown’s resident outlaws. Keeping her nose clean is easier said than done, when suddenly she finds herself embroiled in club business. Holly might like the idea of being with a real-life bad boy, but even being in the same room with tough-as-nails Grady flusters her.

When Holly inadvertently finds herself on Mancuso’s radar, she has two choices: trust that Grady will protect her, or continue to refuse the club’s help. Both roads are dangerous, but only one has the chance to damage her beyond repair.

Love is never more dangerous than when it can destroy you.

{3 stars}

**spoiler alert**

Let me start by saying that I love JC Emery and this series. BUT, I have some issues with this one. I feel like I was just dragged down a road full of pot holes and speed bumps. I really like Grady and Holly, they are great characters. But the storyline has issues, we skid ahead at times that seemed too fast. They are arguing over payoff money one minute, then they are saying I love you and she's asking him to marry her in the next. Did I miss a few chapters along the way? POTHOLE. And I hate to mention this (and I'm not bashing the author), but the proofreading errors was like hitting a speedbump at 60mph. Ouch! Plus they switch from real names to club names frequently, which confused me with some of the peripheral characters. All that being said, I did finish the book. I understood the basic storyline, the Mancuso's are back for more drama and the Jennings family is still seeking revenge against Duke for that assault. And frankly I could have really done without reading that revenge scene against Holly and Mindy. With all of these issues, I would have put it down and walked away if it was the first book in the series. But I am invested, and hooked into the Forsaken MC. Still a great series, just not the best effort.

{3.5 stars}

All the "buzz" about this book was enough to get me to pick it up and give it a try. And it took me 2 tries to get into it, at first I just wasn't buying into the story. It all seemed to "standard" and honestly I kept comparing him to Remy. But about two-thirds of the way in I really started to get in to the characters. It's not the best story I have ever read, I didn't get obsessed with the characters, or emotionally attached. But I liked the story in the end, and now that I have a cliff-hanger ending, I have to read the next one to find out what happens next....

Emily Minton & Dawn Martens-Renegade Reject (Renegade Sons MC #2)

Adult Romance-biker-18+

Daisy “Little Flower” Anderson has lived her entire life on the sidelines of the Renegade Sons MC. Her father is a member, and her mother a club whore turned old lady. Not wanting to follow their footsteps, she chose a different path; one that keeps her close to the biker family she loves, but out of the club.
Struggling to keep it together, she never thought she would have anything of her own, until she met Preach. He is everything she swore she didn't want in life. One night of passion leads to unexpected consequences, and she knows, now more than ever, it’s time to move forward.

Garrett “Preach” Austin lived his life caught in his father’s iron fist. He never thought he would want anything more than freedom from his past, until he met his “Little Flower”. She shows him there is more to life than pain.

Preach has a secret; one that forces him to choose between Daisy and his brothers. Even though he loves Daisy, the Renegade Sons are the only true family he has. He knows he can’t have her, yet he can’t let her go.

When Daisy moves on, Preach realizes what he’s lost. Can he prove that he’s the man for her, or is he too late?

WARNING:
Renegade Reject contains adult situations some readers may find offensive. This is a raw and gritty story involving explicit sex, foul language, violence and drug use. Not intended for readers under 18.

{5 stars}

I just love this series!

This one starts with a little back-up in history so we can know something about Preach and Daisy's past. And the timeline moves from there, parallel to Kidd and Ice's story, until we get to "present" day. My first thought, "Come On Already!". Preach needed to pull his head out of his a$$ and get with the program. Daisy has had nothing in life easy, her mother literally hates her and would do anything to ruin her life. And because of her mother, her father drinks himself stupid every night. She tries really hard to keep her life together and just hope for some small part of happiness. In rides Preach, and with one look they are hooked into each other. Problem is, Daisy isn't 18 yet. The old saying, all good things come to those who wait? Well, it's really hard to ask a biker to wait, and when she is finally 18, he does something really stupid. It's like he has a self destructive wish.
Daisy leaves and he doesn't go after her, and around and around we go. Sometimes it takes a few beatings before a man realizes what he has let go and figures out how to get it back. And as with all things MC, there is lots of drama, violence, drinking, and general mayhem. I could go on and on about this book, but I will leave some surprises!

Marissa Carmel-Strip Me Bare (Strip Me #1)

Adult Contemporary Romance

I may have had more lovers than you, and I may take my clothes off for countless women, but you are the only one who can strip me bare.

Do you ever stop loving someone just because they’re gone?

Five years ago, Ryan Pierce disappeared from Alana Remington’s life without leaving so much as a post-it note behind. He was the one she gave her heart to, her soul to and her virginity to. So imagine her surprise when she finds him dancing at one of NYC’s hottest male reviews as Jack the Stripper.
Ryan never stopped loving Alana, and now that she serendipitously dropped back into his life, he’s vowed never to lose her again. But being together has its costs, and challenges Alana isn’t sure she can handle. She finally has Ryan back; but how in the world is she supposed to share the love of her life with half of the women in New York City?

{4 stars}

I saw the pic and the synopsis on a facebook page and just had to have Ryan.

"Ryan told me he loved me once.
He told me he'd protect me.
He told me he'd never let go even if the stars were falling out of the sky.
But he lied."

That line was enough to hook me into the story. Alana seems like the little rich girl lost. Spent a summer at the beach and met the bad boy. But then he disappears, breaking her heart and leaving her always wondering what happened. Skip ahead 5 years and surprise! Ryan is back, but life isn't that simple, right? At times this story seemed too simple and sweet, "I love you, I love you too" kinda stuff, but I never got bored. You get sucked in and start rooting for them, or at least Ryan. His life has sucked and now he gets his second chance at happiness and you really, really want that for him. But so many things can get in the way. The story moves ahead quickly, sometimes jumping months and even years ahead. But I think that's what kept it from becoming to simple and boring. All in all, I really enjoyed it.
