Bella Jewel-Knights' Sinner (MC Sinners #3)

Adult Romance - biker 18+

Jackson is always considered the 'softie'. He's the first to help people out when they're in need. He's President of the Hell's Knights and he figures it's about time he shows the world how much of a sinner he can be.

Serenity has a dark past. Secrets haunt her and she has no way of escaping them. Hogan is the only family she knows and life with him is brutal. And it's about to get worse.

He sends her on a mission.

On a mission to destroy the Hell's Knights and the Heaven's Sinners.

Can she pretend with a club she doesn't know?

Or will she betray Hogan for the man she's falling in love with?

{4 stars}

Perfect ending to this trilogy, and probably my favorite of the three. Jackson is the President of the MC and the hardest biker to fall. Serenity is like a little pixie, and comes from a horrible situation. Abused and mistreated by her father, she is sent in to the Hell's Knights to spy. What she doesn't expect is to find such a wonderful group of people who are willing to step in and help when needed. So much happens in this one, Still a highly erotic story, but one that reflects the true "family" that they all are. Loved it! Don't forget to read the novella Bikers and Tinsel so you can find out what happens to Muff.....

Bella Jewel-Heaven's Sinners (MC Sinners #2)

Adult Romance - biker 18+

Contains adult content, recommended for readers over 18.

A modern day biker romance.

Spike knows tragedy, he knows that feelings are better left hidden. He refuses to put his heart out there again, it's a pain he's not willing to feel a second time around. He's accepted he's going to spend forever alone. That's all he deserves.

But then there's Ciara, the sister of his deceased wife. She's beautiful and damned determined to throw herself into his life in hopes they can reform an old friendship, but Spike won't hear of it, and Ciara refuses to give up.

Who will win the battle of wills?

{4 stars}
The synopsis doesn't do it justice, but you already know Spike's story from the first book. Now we get to stumble down Spike and Ciara's memory lane learning how they met, what happened to each of them, and how it all went wrong. But somehow they seem to gravitate back to each other.

I enjoy this series, it is highly erotic, and sometimes that gets in the way of the story. But not with this series, somehow all the "adventurous" sex seems to flow well with the story and doesn't turn this into just another porn without plot series. I really like all the characters, they are funny, passionate, and really pull everyone together as a family. And we get a cliff hanger with this one, can't wait to find out who the mystery girl is.

Bella Jewel--Hell's Knights (MC Sinners #1)

Adult Romance 18+ - biker

Recommended for readers over 18+ Contains adult content.

A modern day biker romance.

Addison has had a hard life. Her mother is useless, and her father hasn't been in her life for years. When her mother dies, she's left with no money and an angry man after her. She goes to the only person she knows can take care of her right now - her father. She knows her father is the President of an MC club, but she doesn't quite realize just how much she will come to rely on that club.

Cade is everything she knows she should stay away from, and yet she can't seem to keep herself from wanting him. He's the club VP, gorgeous, rugged, charming and he makes her feel again. She should be running, she should be escaping the demons of her past, but instead she finds herself falling for the gorgeous biker.

Come on this whirlwind romance with two broken people, who figure out how to put each other back together.

{4 stars}

Not a bad story, it is more about Addison and her past. A life no one should ever endure, but somehow she survives it and gets away. She is a little firecracker despite all that has happened to her. Once she escapes is where the MC comes in, her dad is the president of the Hell's Knights. We don't really get into much detail about the biker life like some series do, this is the story of Addison escaping her past and Cade falling for someone when he never expected to fall for anyone ever. Not an absolutely great story, but still a good one. I would have liked a little more.... a little more time before she and Cade fell into each other, a little more time for some character development. But I still liked it, and trust the 18+ warning, (Addison's past is violent and not easy to read about) and these two go at it ever chance they get. amazingly it doesn't feel like their sexcapades are out of place, or filler for just another erotic story. It all kind of worked.  Will definitely keep going with this series.

Jacquelyn Frank-Forsaken (The World of Nightwalkers #3)

Adult Paranormal Romance

New York Times bestselling author Jacquelyn Frank continues her scorching and sensual new series set in the world of the Nightwalkers, where alluring entities known as Bodywalkers are the vanguards against the raging forces of darkness.

As a mercenary, Leo Alvarez has signed on for a lot—but he never signed on for his best friend becoming host to the soul of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh. Jackson is now inhabited by a Bodywalker, and Leo is forced to grapple with a realm of supernatural beings far more dangerous than anything he’s ever encountered.

But when Jackson is wounded by an attack from a demon god, Leo must team up with another supernatural creature—a Night Angel—to save his friend from utter destruction. With skin as black as midnight, hair as white as snow, and a body of pure perfection, the Night Angel arouses a burning desire in Leo, even as he refuses to be intimidated by her power—or the power of those who would destroy his friend. An unusual alliance is forged, electrified by sexual temptation, and together the two must unite their strengths to bring down a supreme evil.

Jacquelyn Frank has a very detailed imagination. I love the worlds she creates, they are quite vivid. And I was really taken by the concept of Egyptian pharaohs becoming bodywalkers, its a great concept and storyline. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I didn't "click" with this one. I didn't find any empathy or love for the H/h. It took me a long time to finish this one, I put it down at least a half dozen times before finishing it. Leo's anger, though justified, got in the way of me feeling anything for him. And even though Faith is an outstanding character (well written, imaginative) I just couldn't find myself putting the two of them together. That being said, this is still a great addition to the storyline as a whole. It moves everything along with a decent pace and adds to the overall series. Not my favorite, but still a great series I will continue with.

Penelope Douglas-Until You (Fall Away #1.5)

Adult Romance 18+

***This novel contains graphic sexual content and harsh language. It is only appropriate for adult readers age 18+.

Have you ever been so angry that hitting things felt good? Or so numb that you actually felt high? The past few years have been like that for me. Traveling between fury and indifference with no stops in between.

Some people hate me for it, while others are scared of me. But none of them can hurt me, because I don't care about anything or anyone.

Except Tatum.

I love her so much that I hate her. We used to be friends, but I found out that I couldn't trust her or anyone else.

So I hurt her. I pushed her away.

But I still need her. The sight of her centers me, and I can pool all of my anger into her. Engaging her, challenging her, bullying her...they are my food, my air, and the last part of me that feels anything human.

But she left. She went to France for a year, and came back a different girl.

Now, when I push, she pushes back.

{5 stars}

It's always a risk to write a story from another POV, but Douglas does a brilliant job of getting us to see it thru Jared's eyes without boring us with reading the "same" story. Emotional, tragic, passionate, a dozen other feelings go thru you when you read it. Jared has experienced some serious trauma, and he didn't process it very well. He turned it on the one person that loved him unconditionally. Bad decisions, and a whole lot of mistakes and regret later, he figures it out before it's almost to late to turn it around. If I didn't already know how it all turned out I would have been on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen to the two of them. What this book did was answer a lot of questions. Like what really happened to him? And all of those scenes where you were asking "what is going on in his head?" A great job expanding this series, I'm seriously addicted.

***  "Old enough to unravel you".....Oh my lord I can't wait to get to Jax's story !

C. M. Stunich-Bad Day (Hard Rock Roots #4)

Adult Romance 18+

Turner Motherf*cking Campbell.
I'm into him, yeah, and I think I love him.

Because if we don't, then this all falls apart, and we lose everything. The fans, the music, the relationships that are just beginning to blossom. This is it. Let's kick as*, take names, and let the world know who's boss.

& & &

Naomi Isabelle Knox, she's everything to me.
And I know I love her. But I can't ignore the sh*t storm that's taken over this tour, my tour. Time to get serious; time to dig deep; time to take back the music. Because if we don't, then I could lose her. She could die; we all could. Or worse. Time to show the world what we're made of, that we're here to stay. Say hello to your idols, baby. Your new gods. Say hello to Indecency and Amatory Riot. Your latest obsessions, your greatest desires.

{4 stars}

Miss Stunich, you sure have a way with cliff-hangers. But I will give it to you, it is was keeps me hanging on by my fingernails waiting to find out what happens next, like an addiction.

We left off with gunshots in the previous book, so it was imperative that we find out who and why. But nothing is clear cut in this world, there are too many secrets. And those secrets have been years in the making. Secrets we didn't even know existed. So where does that leave the bands? Lot's of twists and turns in this one, but we do get more answers than we have before. So a lot more of this saga makes sense to me. Don't know where this series is going to take us, or how it's going to end, but the rock n roll ride has been a lot of fun.

J. C. Emery-Ride (Bayonet Scars #1)

Adults Romance 18+

Death comes in Armani. Salvation comes in leather.

Principessa to the Mancuso crime family, Alexandra knows a thing or two about living outside the bounds of the law. Suffocated by the future her father has laid out for her, she makes a choice she can't take back, changing the entire trajectory of her life.

Thrust into the dark and dangerous world of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club for her own protection, Alex finds herself faced with the last thing she needs right now: the man of her dreams. He’s sex in leather, the devil incarnate, and one hell of a kisser. But he’s also off-limits. Ryan Stone can be her friend, but he’s forbidden to be her lover.

Third-generation Forsaken, Ryan knows nothing other than life on two wheels, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He enjoys the many privileges that come with the patch, and the only laws he recognizes are the ones set-forth by his club. That is, until who he wants more than anything isn’t allowed on the back of his bike —or in his bed. Balancing his desire for her body, and need to keep her safe, Ryan tries to keep Alex at a distance. Finally having made a choice for herself, she’s done hearing the word “no” and will push boundaries even Ryan himself doesn’t dare cross.

Love is never more tempting than when it’s forbidden

{4 stars}
Going from mob princess storyline to biker babe? Wasn't sure how this was going to work, but it did. The story seemed seamless in its transition, it made perfect sense. I really enjoyed this story, it could have been longer, and more developed. But all in all it worked. And Ryan and Alex are a great couple, at each other's throat one moment, then bouncing off the bed the next. The cast of characters surrounding them just add to the humor and storyline, and I really want to read Duke's story. And isn't the cover just HOT?!?

Carmen Jenner-Welcome to Sugartown (Sugartown #1)

Adult Romance 18+

Ana Belle never wanted anything more than to hang up her apron, jump on her Vespa and ride off into the sunset, leaving Sugartown in the dust.

Elijah Cade never wanted anything more than a hot meal, a side of hot arse and a soft place to lay his head at night where he could forget about his past.

But you know what they say about wanting: you always want what you can’t have.

Nineteen year-old virgin Ana is about to discover that’s not quite true because a six foot three, hotter than hell, tattooed, Aussie sex god just rode into town. He’s had a taste of her pie and he wants more– no really, Ana bakes pies for a living, get your mind out of the gutter.

She’d be willing to hand over everything tied up in a big red bow, there’s just one problem; Elijah has secrets dirtier than last week’s underwear. Secrets that won't just break Ana’s heart, but put her life at risk, too. When those secrets come to light, their relationship is pushed to breaking point.

Add to that a psychotic nympho best friend, an overbearing father, a cuter than humanly possible kid brother, a wanton womanizing cousin, the ex from hell, and more pies than you could poke a ... err ... stick ... at.

And you thought small towns were boring.

Welcome to Sugartown.

*Content Warning. Intended for a mature 18+ audience. Contains explicit sex, oodles of profanity and a crap-tonne of AWKWARD

I struggled with this book. I felt like a tourist who didn't understand the language. It's set in Australia, so its full of Australian landmarks, slang, and references. I was at a loss. Add to that the first half of the book was only a 2 star rating, around the 50% mark it got good. Then the author thru me for a flip with a very intense scene I was not prepared for and didn't want to read. I have read scenes like that in other books, and I agreed with the writing of them sometimes, but not always. But at least at that point in the book the action had picked up and it was a little more interesting. I will give the humor in this book a 5 star, it was very funny at times, especially with Holly (the best friend). Overall, I waffled between 2 and 3 stars, Maybe if the setting was in America, who knows, I just didn't click with it even though I did finish the story.
