Helena Hunting-Clipped Wings (Clipped Wings #1)

Their body art is hot. Their chemistry is even hotter.

From her dark hair sweeping below her waist to her soft, sexy curves, Tenley Page intrigues tattoo artist Hayden Stryker in a way no one else ever has…especially when she asks him to ink a gorgeous, intricate design on her back. Yet for all her beauty, there is something darkly tragic and damaged about Tenley that Hayden is everything.

Covered in ink and steel, Hayden is everything Tenley has never dared to want, awakening a desire to explore more than the art adorning his stunning body. Trapped by a past that leaves her screaming from nightmares, Tenley sees Hayden as the perfect escape. Although he has secrets too, if they both keep themselves guarded perhaps their intense physical connection will remain only that.

But nothing, not even passion, can keep them safe from their pasts…

I received a copy from Netgalley for review, even after it has already been published. So you will understand how I was able to purchase it 40% in. See, advance copies are almost always unproofed and unformatted. But I fell in love with this book so much that I had to purchase it so I could read the formatted copy. Hayden and Tenley are that captivating of characters. Most readers would think, been there read that, when thinking about another tattooed bad boy chasing a troubled girl. But there is something different about them. We get teased with their tragic past just enough to compel me to find out what happened to them. They have a magnetism about them that just keeps your attention.  Add in the supporting cast, and you just can't put the book down. I have read the prequel and the 1.5 novella, so now I'm heading into the second book, we were left with a somewhat emotional cliff hanger that I just have to find out what happens....

Tiffany Reisz-The Saint (The White Years #1)

Dark Erotic Adult Romance-18+

In the beginning, there was him. Gutsy, green-eyed Eleanor never met a rule she didn't want to break. She’s sick of her mother's zealotry and the confines of Catholic school, and declares she'll never go to church again. But her first glimpse of beautiful, magnetic Father Søren Stearns and his lust-worthy Italian motorcycle is an epiphany. Suddenly, daily Mass seems like a reward, and her punishment is the ache she feels when they’re apart. He is intelligent and insightful and he seems to know her intimately at her very core. Eleanor is consumed—and even she knows that can't be right. But when one desperate mistake nearly costs Eleanor everything, it is Søren who steps in to save her. She vows to repay him with complete obedience...and a whole world opens before her as he reveals to her his deepest secrets. Danger can be managed—pain, welcomed. Everything is about to begin.

{5 stars}

"Someday she would write about this moment. She would write a book about a girl who fell in love with a god, and then, to her complete surprise,
discovered the god loved her back."

The real world ceases to exist when I read Tiffany Reisz. I feel completely submerged in her world, her stories, her characters, and I never want reality to intrude.

Fantastic story, and even though we already know how Nora and Soren began, we never got the whole story. This time we get to walk through their entire "courtship" through the eyes of Nora (Eleanor) and not one word of it felt like I had read it before. Every word was like discovering them all over again. The magnetism that is Soren and the instantaneous pull that Nora had on him. Ever wonder what love at first sight is like? I realize that this is all a taboo subject matter story, and I just don't care. The layers that are Soren and Nora are so much more than the BDSM world they play in or the fact that he is a priest and she was fifteen when they met. It seemed as though their souls had been seeking each other out over lifetimes. The way neither one can live with or without each other. The burden or blessing that is their religion (depending on how you look at it). It all blends to make this one of my top reads of the year. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I would. Take the jump and start with The Siren, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Harper Sloan-Cooper (Corps Security #4)

Do you take me seriously? Because I don’t. I use my jokes and easygoing personality to hide the pain I’ve felt since he took his last breath. I’m adrift without my partner in crime, my best friend…my brother. I can taste the vengeance just within my grasp.

Until she barges into my life. Promising me happiness and a peace I’ve been craving for years. She is the sun to my darkness, the happy to my despair.

But she holds secrets. Just like I do. She holds hers close, where I just pray mine don’t rock the walls we’re trying to build.

Now I’m stuck at a crossroads between my desire for revenge and my craving for her and the life we could have together—and I have no idea which road I should travel.

All I know with crystal clear certainty is that the past has the power to destroy it all.

{5 stars}

The first half of this story is a strong 4 stars, the plot line is moving along just how you expect. We all know the history with Chelcie and Ash (including Ash's brother Coop). So there aren't a lot of surprises. They have a great courtship in the way that all of the Alpha Corps Security guys do. Possessiveness, stubbornness, and eventually that hot caveman attitude that we all have come to love in these guys. Second half of the book, 5 stars, and full of surprises! Would love to share, but NO SPOILERS HERE. Just suffice to say that this is a great read and an even greater addition to the series. Laughed sometimes, got out the fan sometimes (you know what I mean), and even cried sometimes. So looking forward to Maddox's story. He's is going to be the hardest to fall....

Kara Swynn-Homegrown Heroes-Ryan

Cassandra Cross has loved Ryan Sears since the minute she met him, too bad he’s been her number one enemy from about that same time. Ryan is off limits and it would help if Cassie could remember that. Besides there’s no way the sexy, self-disciplined ex-Marine could be attracted to a curvy, smart-mouthed woman like Cassie.

Ryan’s not only attracted to Cassie; he’s in love with her. For years he’s tried to forget her and the pain she caused him. He still wants her, but he’s tired of being ignored.

Now Ryan has two weeks to prove to Cassie that he’s a real man and a Marine in every sense of the word. Unfortunately, great sex isn’t enough to put old insecurities to rest. When push-comes-to-shove one of them will walk away and the other will have to find the courage to either fight for their love or risk losing it forever.

This complete short read has the added bonus of two gorgeous, outspoken Marine buddies who don’t pull their punches. As well as, Cassie’s dirty-minded best friend – Alyssa, who doesn’t hesitate to tell her like it is.

Due to explicit language and sexual content, this story is intended for mature readers only.

{4 stars}

If you are in the mood for a hot, short story, this is the one. Engaging characters, hot scenes and side characters that make it funny, charming, and all around entertaining. This could easily be stretched out into a full length story and series. Really enjoyed it!!

As soon as Ham hears about Zara's plight, he's on her doorstep offering her a lifeline. Now, it will take every ounce of will power she possesses to resist all that he offers.

About himself, and about the life he knows he's meant to live. So when he hears that Zara's having a rough time, he wants to be the one to help. In fact, he wants to do more than that for Zara. A lot more. But first, he must prove to Zara that he's a changed man.

{4 stars}

It's been awhile since I read Kristen Ashley, so I had forgotten how much I like her. Her stories are simple in their drama. Nothing to dark, just enough to give it an edge and an interesting spin. I missed the gang in Gnaw Bone, they are a real bunch of characters. But KA puts us back in the storyline without missing a beat. The complimentary copy I received was from net galley, so I can't quote anything since it could have been edited. But Ham is a great Alpha H. He's possessive in a hot way, and is ready to step in and take care of Zara when she needs it, even though she doesn't ever ask for help. Great couple, low key story, amazing ending.

The power of love is a beautiful thing.

{4 stars}

This is just a feel good kind of series. The drama is enough to keep it from being boring, but not enough to make it too edgy. Each book is really about finding "the one" and everything that goes into creating a family with "the one". The couples are hot, along with being sweet and funny. Great series if you just want a sweet read for an afternoon.

Joanna Wylde-Devils Game (Reapers MC #3)

Adult Romance-biker-18+

Liam “Hunter” Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows his duty. He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has a daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her.

Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club’s president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who isn't afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he’s The One.

Or so she thinks.........

**I received a complimentary copy for honest review**

Romeo and Juliet for the MC age......

Hunter and Em are from rival MC's, their father's are high up in their respective MC's and it seems impossible for the two of them to ever be able to be together. But, where there is a will, there is a way.....

I loved every word of this story, there is nothing I would change about it. Em may seem like Daddy's girl and will always do what she is told. But when the men in her life start taking her for granted, she gets a spine of steel. Hunter has never wanted anyone more than he wants Em. But he doesn't know the first thing about relationships, or how he is going to deal with wanting the enemies daughter. Somehow this all manages to work, and it flows logically. We back up a little in the storyline, just to get some perspective from Hunter and Em's side of the kidnapping and their "courtship" beforehand, then we take off with their story. Em, being the daughter of the Reapers president, knows all to well what life as an "old lady" entails. So the only struggle for them is how are they going to be together? The synopsis kind of gives away who she picks, and I was on the fence in the last story about who I would pick. But after reading them together, she made the best choice. Hunter is just too HOT for words and the perfect match for Em. Add in the cast of supporting characters  (like Skid and Kit) and the chaos of the MC's in general, and there is nothing boring about this series. And let's all admit, we don't read these stories for the MC drama, we read them for the HOT couples. And Wylde never disappoints! This is one of my top 5 series and always on my favorite shelf.

After Trevor painfully rejects her, Liz finally starts to move on, but Trevor is finding it difficult to truly let her go. It seems the more he tries to stay away, the more intense his feelings for her become. Like a stretched rubber band, he can only take so much before snapping.

Liz Hayes is done waiting for Trevor and isn't interested in getting her heart broken by him again, but Trevor is making it difficult for her to forget him when he shoves his way back into her life.

Can Trevor prove to her that he is worth falling in love with again, and is he ready to change his life plan to let her into his heart?

{ 4.5 stars}

This series is something special. It's just a feel good kinda series. It doesn't get lost in the little bit of "life or death" drama that it has, and it doesn't get boring with just watching the brothers fall in love. Each brother is unique, but the same in the aspect that they all have this caveman alpha trait going on. It's charming and hot all at the same time. And the brothers must have some kind of special powers, because when they kiss, the women seem to give up the fight and give in. It's really funny. Love this series for it's simplicity and it's overall hotness. The Mayson brothers are great!

Aurora Rose Reynolds-Until November (Until #1)

November is looking forward to getting to know her father and the safety of a small town. After leaving the big apple and her bad memories for Tennessee, November starts working for her dad at his strip club doing the books. The one time she’s allowed there during club hours she runs into Asher Mayson. He’s perfect until he opens his mouth and makes assumptions. November wants nothing to do with Asher but too bad for November fate has other plans.

Asher Mayson has never had a problem getting a woman, that is until November. Now all he can think about is making November his and keeping her safe.

*Recommended for mature audiences 17+ due to strong language and sexual content.*

{4 stars}
The synopsis doesn't quite cover what this book is about. That's why it took me so long to start reading this series, it just didn't sound interesting. But boy was I wrong, the strip club barely plays in to the story (thankfully) and what is really at the heart of this story is Asher meeting "the one". It hits him like lightning the moment he sets eyes on her. But of course, he's a jerk to her and she wants nothing to do with him. Another chance encounter proves to him that she is his bliss, his happily ever after. He just has to prove it to her first. He is the typical Alpha, but in a way that just makes you melt. He wants to wrap her up and take care of her, and can't handle any other male around her.

November is funny. She is the perfect balance for him. She doesn't take everything too seriously and has a charming sense of humor. I really liked her. Her mother on the other hand, total witch. But I will let that part of the story be discovered by you. (no spoilers) The make a great couple and I'm happy I pick up this series.....on to the next brother!
