Lili St. Germain-Six Brothers (Gypsy Brothers #2)

Adult Romance-18+ biker

I have lied.

I have cheated.

I have given my body and my life to the man who destroyed my family and left me for dead.

I have killed, I have sinned, and worst of all, I have enjoyed the misery of others.

I have licked the salty tears of a father mourning his firstborn son, and nothing has ever tasted so sweet.

I have died, and I have been resurrected, a phoenix from the ashes.

I know I’m going to hell. I’ll burn in the fiery pits alongside Dornan and his sons for the things I’ve done, and for the things I’m about to do.

But I don’t care. It will be worth every lick of the devils flames on my guilty flesh to destroy Dornan Ross.

One down, six to go.

{5 stars}

I don't usually post reviews for short stories. But this series, even though each one is a short story, they are very intriguing. I am really enjoying the journey. This is a very dark series, there is nothing hot or sexy about the things she has to do to exact her revenge.  It is raw and violent and necessary to her. And her revenge is all that matters. Knowing her history and what they did to her, I can understand her need.

Not a series for "lite" readers, this is not a biker romance story. There are no HEA's at the end of each story, whether we get one at the end of this journey I don't know. But I am hooked into the series so far and can't wait to see whose next on her hit list.

Lili St. Germain-Seven Sons (Gypsy Brothers #1)

Adult Romance-18+ biker

My father was most certainly NOT an innocent man. As the leader of the Gypsy Brothers MC, he was guilty of many things. But he died for a crime that he didn’t commit, framed by an enemy within who then stole his club and everything he had ever worked to protect.

Including my innocence.

When Dornan Ross framed my father, he set into motion a series of events that could never be undone. My father was murdered by Dornan Ross and his sons when I was fifteen years old.

Before my father died, Dornan and his sons stole my innocence, branded my skin and in doing so, ensured that their lives would be prematurely cut short. That they would suffer.

I’ve just turned twenty-one, and I’m out for blood. I'm out for revenge.

But I didn't expect to fall for Jase, the youngest brother in the club.

I didn't expect that he would turn my world upside down, yank my heart out of my chest and ride away into the sunset with it.

Now, I'm faced with an impossible choice - Jase, or avenging my fathers death?

{4 stars}

Short, but enough of a teaser to make me very interested in reading this series. It is very dark, sometimes violent, but crucial to the story....her story.

Tara Sivec-Shame on You (Fool Me Once #1)

Contemporary Romance-humor

War veteran Kennedy O’Brien is in the business of sticking it to the man—or at least any man who tries to cross a woman. After she returned home from Afghanistan and caught her husband in bed with the nanny, Kennedy lost her faith in men and started Fool Me Once Investigations with her two best friends. After all, there’s no better bounty hunter than a woman scorned.

When Kennedy takes a case to slap cuffs on a bail jumper turned dog-napper, she figures it’ll be an easy paycheck. But trouble has a way of finding Kennedy. Enter the last man on the planet she’d willingly choose as a partner: her cheating ex-husband’s best friend, Griffin Crawford.

As gorgeous as he is unwelcome, Griffin has always had a thing for Kennedy, and after keeping quiet about her ex’s cheating, he’ll do anything to earn back her trust. Whether or not she wants to admit it, Kennedy will need help as the case of the Chihuahua thief spirals out of control. Griffin may be just her man—in more ways than one.

**standing with hands on hips and tapping foot** Well, Miss Sivec that was a tease! I need more!

Anyone who loved the Chocolate Lovers series will enjoy this one. It is laugh out loud funny, with great characters and an even Hotter leading man. Kennedy and her girls are like the keystone cops on 3 bottles of wine, non-stop humor and impeccable fashion sense (well maybe not for Kennedy), and great designer shoes.  Didn't want the fun to end, and that's my only complaint, I wanted about a 100 pages more. So looking forward to the next one, preordering it now.

Rebecca Shea-Undone (Unbreakable #2)

Adult Romance 18+

Companion to "Unbreakable" -- Landon's story

I’ve found it’s easier to share my body but not my soul. I need no one, yet I crave her.

Self-assured and independent, she doesn’t need me—but she wants me, and undeniably I want her too. At war with myself as I battle the secrets of my past, I don’t know if I can allow her to see the darkest parts of me, the parts I’ve left untouched—undone.

As she chips away at the walls I’ve built for years, I fear those secrets will hold me hostage from love—forever.

**This book is a Contemporary Romance and contains mature subject matter. It is not intended for those under 17 years of age.**

{3.5 stars}

This could be read as a stand alone, we met Landon in the first story, but Jess and Gabe do not appear in this one.

I didn't really care for Landon in the first book, his "walls" were to high and thick to get thru. And so I could only give the first 50% of this book 2 stars. BUT, once we hit the halfway mark, his "wall" started to crumble and you could see the man underneath. You could start to feel empathy for him and I fell into the story emotionally. Reagan is the only woman who may be able to reach him, but she has her own baggage to overcome. They push and pull each other for so long that it takes a near tragedy to wake them up. Not as emotional of a story as the first book, but still a good story.

Tiffacy Reisz-Misbehaving

Adult Romance-18+ (short story)

Wanted: Adventurous, open-minded man willing to try…anything…

As a popular sex blogger, Beatriz gets paid to have orgasms. So being on deadline the week of her sister's wedding isn't as rough as it sounds. There's just one hitch: Bea's assignment is to write a review of a sex position manual, but she doesn't have a plus-one to play with.

The good news: Ben, the one who got away back in college, is also attending stag—and he's as temptingly gorgeous as ever.

The bad news: Ben turned down Bea's offer of graduation-night sex five years ago.

The best news: He's not planning on making the same mistake twice…...

{5 stars}

I don't usually post reviews for short stories, but I'm such a big Tiffany Reisz fan I just had to share what a wonderfully wicked book this was. Fun, funny, and HOT. Love you Mistress Reisz!

Bella Jewel-Angels in Leather (Rebels on Bikes #1)

Adult Romance=18+ biker

A girl on the run.

Her father gave her one task before he died. To deliver a package.
Now she has the baddest biker in the state after her.

He wants what she's got.

Secrets in both the past and the present threaten to destroy what she is working so hard for.

He threatens to ruin her heart.

Two worlds will collide to make something explosive.

{5 stars}

It is with great sadness that I say this is the last MC series by Bella Jewel. I hope she changes her mind, because I believe she is in the top 5 of MC authors. She has only written the 2 series, and this one has just started with book 1, but they are fantastic. I love the characters, the humor, the passion, the "awe" moments. And even if I knew before reading this book, I would still read this final series. Angels in Leather is definitely a 5 star book. It is unique in it's storyline, a different path from the usual MC drama, but not too far that you don't feel comfortable with it. (if that makes sense) The synopsis doesn't do this book justice at all. Axel and Meadow have known each other since she was a kid. But now Meadow is on the run, and Axel is the one chasing her, for over a year now. She has something he wants, but he also loves the chase. Things have happened to him in his life that have twisted him just a little. But as much as he wants Meadow, personally, and for the package she has, he doesn't know if she can accept the way he is now. I could go on and on about this story, but I don't want to give any spoilers away, I think everyone should find their own surprises in a book. Don't pass this one up because it will be a last short series, it is definitely worth it. Meadow and Axel are super hot together!

***And as an added note, I couldn't even put this book down during The Walking Dead, and that's saying a lot!

Tessa Bailey-Staking His Claim (Line of Duty #5)

Adult Romance

He wants her. All of her.

NYPD sniper Matt Donovan is in Hell. Instead of driving his best friend’s little sister home from college, he’s stuck with her roommate—a fresh-faced ray-of-sunshine with a body that makes grown men weep. There’s no way he’ll allow himself to taint the little vixen, no matter how hard she tries to tempt him, so he resigns himself to the longest—and hardest—drive of his life.

Matt’s obvious attraction suits grad student Lucy Mason just fine. She had no idea her brother’s best friend was so deliciously hot. Knowing he’d never have his wicked way with his buddy’s sister, she lies about her identity and seduces him. But Matt’s no fumbling college boy. His desires run deep—and dark—and he wants to teach Lucy what wicked really means.

Matt’s demanding appetites only make Lucy want more. But when her cover's blown, he’s furious—even as his hunger for her becomes insatiable. Matt can’t trust anyone, least of all himself. And he knows all too well that darkness always destroys the light…

{5 stars}
I just love Tessa Bailey. Her books are easy to read, HOT alpha men, and equally dynamic women. Each story can be read as a stand-alone, but I suggest you read them in order so you can fall in love with all of the men as you go along. This one doesn't have the whole gang involved as much as the earlier ones, but they do make a couple of appearances. This one is solely about Matt, our brooding, silent, complicated Matt finally meets his everything. And he falls hard. The synopsis doesn't really do this story justice, it isn't so superficial that he has "dark" desires and she lied about who she was. Matt has demons from his past that are hard for him to trust anyone. And Lucy has always been a "nuisance" to her family, so she lies about who she is to win him over. They both start off on the wrong foot, but watching them test each other, fall for each other, and eventually collide is great. When Matt finally shows his true feelings it almost makes you cry in that moment, it was straight out of every romance movie we have ever watched.....Loved it!!!

Chloe Neill-Wild Things (Chicagoland Vampires #9)

Adult Romance-shifter/vampire

Since Merit was turned into a vampire, and the protector of Chicago’s Cadogan House, it’s been a wild ride. She and Master vampire Ethan Sullivan have helped make Cadogan’s vampires the strongest in North America, and forged ties with paranormal folk of all breeds and creeds, living or dead…or both.

But now those alliances are about to be tested. A strange and twisted magic has ripped through the North American Central Pack, and Merit’s closest friends are caught in the crosshairs. Gabriel Keene, the Pack Apex, looks to Merit and Ethan for help. But who—or what—could possibly be powerful enough to out-magic a shifter?

Merit is about to go toe to toe, and cold steel to cold heart, to find out.

{4 stars}

First, I must say that there really needs to be a spin-off of this series for the shifters. Because Damien Garza needs a book, he is just to yummy to be a side character!

Back to the story at hand. Merit and the gang are at it again, they just can't catch a break. We move straight from the drama with the GP into a shifter kidnapping mystery. All the gang are in play plus some new ones (the yummy Damien Garza).  In the overall series storyline, this one isn't the most exciting, and we don't get to spend enough time with just Ethan and Merit, but it does move the story into what's coming down the road....the GP. Looking forward to the next one!

*As a kid I loved Nancy Drew, Scooby Doo, Buffy, and even Veronica Mars. If you are a fan of "off" the norm mysteries with some hot alpha males thrown in, then this is the series for you.

Harper Sloan-Beck (Corps Security #3)

Adult Romance-18+

DEE
I’ve always been good at wearing masks. Not letting anyone see the real me. I’m content being the happy-go-lucky best friend. The strong willed boss. The independent woman who doesn't need a man.

But the truth is I’m just as broken as the rest of you. I’m terrified that all it will take is one person to make all my carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust. So I guard my heart with everything I have. Determined to never let anyone get close enough to hurt me again.

All is perfect until HE walks into my life. No… he doesn’t just walk. He struts his good-looking, sex-oozing self right into my space and demands that I see HIM. Making me want what I know I can’t have.

So I did the only thing I know how to do.
I run.
But he just won’t let me go.

BECK
The second I see her, I know she will be mine. I see past the gorgeous smiles and heart-stopping laughter. I see HER. She doesn't want me to know her secrets or the past that haunts her, but I make it my mission to find out.

To make her mine.

She can run all she wants, but it will never be far enough to stop me from coming after her.
She’s it for me and she knows it.
She’s just too scared to admit it.

{4 stars}

I'm very mixed about this one (I really shouldn't read a series back to back). This book is in 3 parts, first part 2 stars. Second part, 3 stars. Third part 5 stars. I just really never connected with Dee. Love the Alpha Men at Corps Security!! They never fail to keep my attention, but I think because we have already spent some time following Dee and Beck's story thru the first 2, that I felt bored with them at times. The secrets I needed to know about Dee's past and her current storyline probably could have been told in a novella.  But even sitting with this book in my head overnight I am still stunned by the world flipping event in part 3 (not giving any spoilers),  bawled my eyes out, didn't see that one coming. I will never look at gold glitter the same way again.

All that being said, I really do love this series. For anyone who loves Kristen Ashley or Maya Banks KGI series, you will love this one. Super hot Alpha Men who's sole focus is the women and family in their lives. Who can resist that fantasy? Can't wait for Maddox and Em's story!
