Sophie Oak--Siren In Bliss

Adult Romance-BDSM 18+

What happens after happily ever after?

It’s the event of the year. The wedding of Leo and Wolf Meyer to their beautiful sub, Shelley McNamara, has all of Bliss up in arms—and makes everyone think about love and marriage and family.

Wolf and Leo have to deal with the sudden reappearance of their father. Rafe Kincaid is handed an opportunity that might take him and his family away from Bliss. Aidan, Lexi, and Lucas O’Malley find themselves at a crossroads in their marriage. And Stefan Talbot must face his biggest fear—possibly losing his wife in childbirth.

So come to the Feed Store Church, pick a seat, and enjoy the chaos as all your favorite characters from Texas Sirens and Nights in Bliss, Colorado, come together for one eventful weekend.

And some of them may never be the same again.

Note: This is a reunion book, which shares an overall story arc and many crossover characters with the Texas Sirens and Nights in Bliss series. This is not a stand-alone.

A Siren Erotic Romance....

{4 stars}

If you haven't read The Texas Sirens or Nights in Bliss series, then you will have no idea what's going on. It is important to get caught up on both series so you can appreciate just how far all of these trios have come. This is definitely a reunion book, it's like the extended epilogue that we all wish for. We get to see what's happening with everyone, some we haven't really checked in with in years. If Sophie wanted to end both her series right now, this would have been the way to do it. It was great. I discovered The Texas Sirens series a couple of years ago and read the first 4 in one weekend. I was hooked. Both series, for me, are not just about the BDSM or the ménage dynamic. It's about the characters. They are all slightly off center, quirky, funny, and people I would love to be neighbors with if they were actually real people. I enjoy every trip we make, whether it's to Bliss, Colorado, or the Dallas, Texas. They are all unique, charming, and totally lovable. Hoping this is not the end, but a new beginning for both groups now that everyone is having children!

Abbi Glines--Twisted Perfection (Perfection #1)

Adult Romance 18+

Life outside of her house was a new experience for Della Sloane. The dark secrets of her past weren’t something she ever intended to share with anyone. They would never understand. No one would ever get close enough to find out. There was always a chance she’d go crazy sooner than they expected…

Woods Kerrington had never been one to be attracted to fragile females. They seemed like too much work. He wasn’t in it for the work just the pleasure. A night full of naughty fun had been exactly what was on his mind when he’d laid eyes on the hot little number that didn’t know how to pump gas and needed some help.

What he didn’t know was she was as fragile as they came.
The carefree girl who spoke her mind and didn’t care what the world thought of her was more breakable than he could ever imagine…

{3 stars}

Yes, I know I'm in the minority on my rating. I loved the first books in this Rosemary Beach series, so I expected to love this one as much. I liked it, didn't love it. For some reason I just couldn't get emotionally attached to either Woods or Della. Maybe I'm having an off week, but even the sex scenes sounded cheesy and porn like. Della just didn't make sense to me. I could understand Wood's falling for her and willing to give up his "prearranged" life, but her past didn't quite "click" with her semi-promiscuous behavior. I'm still going to read the next one though.

Madeline Sheehan--Unattainable (Undeniable #3)

Adult Romance 18+

Warning: This is not a virtuous and tender love story. It’s chaotic, ruthless, and tragic. This story takes love and kills its innocence, steals away the pure moments, and crushes the hearts of the broken. A story born in childhood, tying one girl to one boy, leads to a destructive path—that hurts more than it doesn’t, that shatters more than it heals—testing the love that binds the two through a lifetime.

Tegen Matthews is the daughter of Dorothy Kelley, a club whore in the Hell’s Horsemen. A plain little girl, Tegen falls into the gritty world of the motorcycle club. When she meets a sweet, caring boy, she embraces the warmth and affection he shows her. Cage West is the son of the president of the Hell’s Horsemen. Tall and blond with deep brown eyes, as he grows up Cage realizes the power of his dimpled smile and smooth drawl. With one chance encounter, Tegen becomes forever tied to Cage. Following is a wayward journey that is filled with regrets, mistakes, and heartache, pulling at the threads that hold them together. Cage and Tegen fight hard but love harder, and in the end, what matters is where the journey takes one girl and one boy, who have been twined with one another since the beginning.

This is Tegen and Cage’s story.

Love doesn’t erase a broken heart, and it sure doesn’t change people. But no matter how old, how flimsy, how frayed the rope of love is, it keeps you tethered to the people you love.

{5 stars}

This series if not for the timid reader. It is harsh, gritty, violent, and 'strip you bare' passionate. This one has so much going on in it my head was spinning. Dirty? Where did he come from? Dirty and Ellie are a great little sub plot that I really enjoyed. But on to Tegan and Cage. Wow, they have issues. Growing up in the club life is never easy, and nothing is ever normal. Tegan knows how love plays out in the MC, her mother was a victim of that love when her boyfriends wife shot her. But that's another story (up next I think). Cage realized at a young age that his looks and being the prez's son could get him whatever, and whoever, he wanted. And boy did he want, he went thru one night stands like there was no tomorrow. He was Tegan's first, and since she was in love with him since she was 8 years old, it meant something to her. But at the time, it didn't sink in to Cage just how much it meant to her. When she comes back to visit her mom after college, her and Cage clash. AND CLASH HARD! Yelling, punching, throwing things clashing. It was a wild ride to read, even during there fighting you can see how much they want each other. Cage is just to stubborn to realize what he has until she walks away again. I could go on and on about this story, but I will leave some discoveries for you. Loved every (filthy) word of it!!!!!

Kim Jones--Making The Cut (Saving Dallas #2)

Adult Romance 18+

She went searching for a one night stand and ended up falling in love with Luke Carmical, President of the Devil’s Renegades Motorcycle Club. Now she must decide how to handle the aftermath of Frankie’s brutal assault and the knowledge that Luke has been lying to her- about everything. Secrets are revealed and more lies exposed as Dallas Knox, CEO of Knox Companies, becomes more involved in the MC. She wonders if this life is enough for her, if this family is really what she wants. When circumstances present her with an unusual twist of fate, Dallas knows without a doubt, that this is the family she has longed for. New problems occur, traumatic events take place and lives hang in the balance as Dallas has to decide what is really most important in life.

The journey is long. The outcome is uncertain. Can she Make the Cut?

{4 stars}

5 Stars for the Cover!

We have all been waiting for this one. Will Dallas embrace the MC and the family? Will she forgive Luke for his lies? All is answered, more lies are revealed, and a lifetime of secrets are uncovered. The MC has more drama than it can handle trying to find Frankie (and War), and keep everyone safe in the process. Dallas has to let go of the life she thought she wanted and except the MC family in front of her, or walk away alone. But walking away from Luke and the MC will not make her life safe. Luke and Dallas are just plain HOT together, there is no other way to explain them. I fell head first into this one and read it in one sitting. The surrounding cast of the MC are great additions to the storyline, we get to see several POV's, and it adds a lot to building the world that Dallas and Luke live in. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but there are more kidnappings, and violence in store for the MC in this one. Can't wait to read the next one!

C. M. Stunich--Loving Me, Trusting You (Triple M #2)

Adult Romance 18+

The Triple M Motorcycle Gang has a new president in Austin Sparks, the bad boy biker that swept Amy Cross off her feet. And nobody's happier about that than Gaine Kelley. Now that his best friend has finally found the woman of his dreams, Gaine's free to go after Mireya. But what if she isn't ready yet? What if the demons from her past howl so loud she can't hear him calling?

Mireya Sawyer isn't ready for love. Not yet. Maybe not ever. Especially not when the one thing she's always fought for is called into question. Triple M may not be a 'real' MC, but they're posing as one, and there are people that don't like that. People who can't accept the way they do things and are willing to take the time to put a stop to it. With several rival gangs circling around, threatening the rights of the women in Triple M, Mireya knows it's time to forget her love affair with Austin and move on. Thing is, Gaine's not willing to stand on the sidelines anymore. He loves her, but can she trust him?

{3.5 stars}

I had to drop half a star because I just don't like Mireya, I don't think any reader will. Don't get me wrong, I understand why she is the way she is. But it was exhausting getting thru her past. Gaine is really why I kept reading, I would love to have a boyfriend like him. Sweet, sexy and biker hot. But Mireya can't see what's right in front of her face until she almost loses it forever. We pick up right where book one leaves off, with Austin in charge and the MC still on the go trying to keep the rival MC's off their backs. I miss Austin and Amy, there story was more captivating, but I do have a soft spot for Gaine. He wears his heart on his sleeve (and his shoulder) where Mireya is concerned, but she keeps pushing him away. I can't believe he didn't give up a lot sooner, but I guess the heart wants what the heart wants. Not sure how the rival MC war is going to play out in the long run, it's kind of confusing with all the secrets and how Melissa Diamond figures in all of it. Amy's best friend has joined them, and I'm guessing that Beck's story is up next. But all in all it keeps my attention and I will definitely keep reading...

C. M. Stunich--Losing me, Finding You (Triple M #1)

Adult Romance 18+

Twenty-one year old Amy Cross's idea of a hot Saturday night is curling up with her favorite book boyfriend and secretly sneaking a bottle of her mother's wine. That is, until she meets Austin Sparks, the biker boy with a past that burns like fire and a gaze she can't look away from. Without knowing what she's doing or why she's doing it, Amy ends up on the road with Austin traveling from one city to another while learning things she's only ever read about in romance novels.

At first it seems like Austin is Amy's fantasy come true, but as their journey progresses, she starts to sense that Austin is running away from something. Amy knows that she'll do whatever it takes to help him find himself. What she doesn't expect is that she'll lose herself in the process and how good it will feel to be free.

{4 stars}

I really liked Stunich's other series, so I added this to my TBR pile. The reviews by my GR friends didn't make it sound promising. But I have to say, I really like it. I finished it in one day. I found Amy's "book boyfriend romances" to be funny and quite true, believe it or not. Every romance reader thinks or dreams just the way she did. We all compare men we meet to our BBF's and hope that one day we will fall into that beloved romance novel that we read over and over again. Austin seems to be caught off guard by Amy, he's not prepared to actually have feelings for her. Or to have the strange need to possess her. She is a surprise in the sense that she seems to "roll with the flow" when she steps off into his world. And the MC backstory seems to give the whole thing just a little bit of edge and suspense. The passion is as HOT as the cover and I'm already ordering the next book....

Heidi McLaughlin--My Unexpected Forever (Beaumont #2)

Adult Romance 17+

I expected a life of music.
I expected to raise my son.
It took one look to make everything change.
I never expected happiness.

I never expected to find her.
I never expected to feel desire.
I never expected I’d be a family man.
I never expected to be loved.
I never expected to fall in love.

They say you should expect the unexpected, I didn’t realize my unexpected would be the forever kind.

{3.5 stars}

The synopsis doesn't really do this story justice. We met Harrison and Katelyn in the first book, and the moment he saw her he was captivated. But she had just buried her husband, her high school sweetheart, her first and only love. Harrison has an interesting past, and an even more interesting story behind his son Quinn. He is the drummer in a rock band, not the suburban, lawn mowing, next door neighbor. But he gives up LA life to move to Beaumont to be near Katelyn and to give Quinn a more normal life.

Katelyn was a frustrating character, her wishy-washy behavior towards Harrison was almost enough to have me giving up. But I was really drawn to Harrison, Quinn, and Katelyn's twins Peyton and Elle. They really made the story for me. Loved their interactions and humor. Overall, this could have been a bit "more" in some way. But I really did enjoy it.....hoping there is a book about JD?

Crystal Spears--Withstanding Me (Breakneck #2)

Adult Romance 18+

While the chaos and bloodshed have slowed for a short period, life is never quiet in the world of Breakneck. The club is taking time to regroup from internal betrayal and the changing of the guard in a rival group.
Zig Zag became a father at the age of thirteen. While raising a child has never been easy, now his eighteen year old daughter Tatiana makes his life downright hard. She has caught the eye of Travis, the new President of the rival MC Gunners, but all she really wants is Shadow, the newest addition to the Breakneck family. When Shadow’s rejection sends Tatiana running from the only family, home, and safety she’s ever known, ZZ is crazy with worry. The distraction caused by Tatiana’s disappearance could prove to be Zig Zag’s downfall.

If that isn’t enough, ZZ finds himself rampantly attracted to the one and only Storm. She’s beautiful, quick and witty. Their friendship is the one thing that keeps him from growing crazy, and Storm stands by ZZ through all the turmoil. Zig Zag is not accustomed to hearing the word no, so Storm’s constant withstanding just draws him in deeper. Their friendship is one thing keeping him from going crazy, until one night…

The club is regrouping and rebuilding from the mayhem known as the Russian Mafia. A hit is ordered on Tatiana, Storm, Winter, and Piper.

Tatiana’s egg donor reveals secrets that a thirteen year old Zig Zag was too young to understand.

Braxxon is out of reach while he helps Greg Cage deal with some dirty business.

Bloodshed… Secrets… Betrayal… Trauma… Welcome back to the Breakneck world.

{4 stars}
I confess, I have a serious Sons of Anarchy addiction. I just can't get enough of Jax Teller. So that is why this series is perfect for me. The MC follows their own rules. Dangerous, blood thirsty, revenge filled rules. But its all to protect the Club and their family. This go round we are following ZZ and Storm. Storm was kidnapped when she was in college and sold into the sex trade. That is where Winter found her and several other girls. Storm is now Winter's best friend and sister (by soul if not by blood), and the one woman who resists ZZ. He has never had any woman tell him no, so he resists for as long as he can before he caves. Nothing worth having is easy to get, right? Russian drama surrounds them (I still don't completely understand that plotline) and The Gunners MC picks the wrong side of the war to fall on. Car accidents, gun fire, Tatiana's disappearing acts, a surprise sibling, and bloodshed all return to the Breakneck MC. And all the while the brothers are falling for their true match in a woman one by one.....love this series!!!

Heidi McLaughlin--Forever My Girl (Beaumont #1)

Adult Romance

I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.

I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I’ve poured my soul into my music, but I’ve never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.

And now I’m going back.

After ten years.  I hope I can explain that after all this time.

I still want her to be my forever girl,,,,,,,

{4 stars}

What a simple love story! It was so nice to read a simple, beautiful, love story. No life or death drama, just the regret of decisions made in the past. What we all wouldn't do if we had a "do over" button, right?

Liam made a mistake, and left the love of his life behind when he decided to change his whole life. Problem was, he should have told her, she might have gone with him. But now 10 years later he is back for his best friends funeral and his world is flipped upside down. How does he fix this when a surprise walks into the restroom? Lucky for us we get to read along while Liam rights the wrongs of his past decision. This was a really great afternoon read, looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

Gail Mchugh--Pulse (Collide #2)

Adult Romance 18+

How do you keep existing when your heart is so splintered, so completely torn to shreds, your pulse is fading?

You’re…broken. How do you move forward when every breath is nothing more than a constant ache? Living becomes an insidious reminder that you threw away the single largest part of yourself. Your…soul. No amount of distraction can pull you from the torture of losing your…life.

Now that Emily Cooper has walked away from her first love, she finds herself running toward her only love. Unraveling fast, but clinging to hope, Emily risks all she has left on the man that has consumed her every thought and dream since the day they met. Will Gavin take her back? And if so, will their reunion be a collision of two hearts destined to complete one another and rekindle a love that knew no boundaries? Or will scars from their past rip open, tearing slowly at what each of them was meant to be? Can fate, the ultimate game changer, mend the shattered road it laid out from the start?

{3.5 stars}

Even after I have slept on it, I have no higher stars for this series. Emily's character is not what drew me to finish it, it was Gavin. It's was always about Gavin. He was the strongest character, the most romantic, the most beautiful. I kept reading page after page (I still think this book is too long) to find out what happens to Gavin.  He was the one who was hurt the most, the one who knew who his soul mate was and was devastated when she chose another. And the WTF?!? moment....so not fair Miss McHugh, I was blown away by that. But for people like me who do not connect with Emily, read the series for Gavin, everyone should have a Gavin in their life, it would be so much more beautiful......

Gail McHugh--Collide (Collide #1)

Adult Romance 18+

A missed first encounter…

Colliding with a second chance…

On the heels of graduating college and trying to cope with her mother’s death, Emily Cooper moves to New York City for a fresh start.

While harboring secrets of his own, Dillon Parker takes care of Emily through her grief. Knowing he can’t live without her by his side, he’s sweet, thoughtful, and everything Emily has ever wanted in a man.

Until she meets Gavin Blake—a rich and notorious playboy who is dangerously sexy and charming as hell. Emily tries to deny the instant connection she feels, but Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome is not inclined to let go so easily. Recovering from his own painful past, Gavin will stop at nothing to win Emily over.

This unexpected encounter compels Emily to question her decisions, forcing her to make a choice that will destroy friendships, shatter hearts, and forever change her life.

{3.5 stars}
The first half of this book barely kept my attention. Emily was a boring character, and Dillon is just an ass (he is why I didn't feel compelled to keep reading). You don't see it at first but Dillon is an abusive man. He systematically pushes Emily into a position where she becomes the wishy-washy "timid" female. Annoying until you figure out what he is really up to. She does what he wants just to keep the peace and keep him happy. Then in walks Gavin, charming and beautiful beyond words, and he wants Emily. They all 3 collide in a drama filled second half of the book. Honestly, Gavin is why I kept reading.You just can't help feeling something for him. And you really, really, want him to get his HEA. The story is far too long (hence the skimming) but I did enjoy most of it enough to continue on to the next one. I really need to know how everything turns out for Gavin....
