synopsis:
Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux knows she is the best, but she does not know if even she is good enough for this job. Hired by the dangerously beautiful archangel Raphael, a being so lethal that no mortal wants his attention, Elena knows failure is not an option, even if the task is impossible. Because this time, it's not a wayward vamp she has to track. Its an archangel gone bad.
The job will put Elena in the midst of a killing spree like no other, and pull her to the razor's edge of passion. Even if the hunt does not destroy her, succumbing to Raphael's seductive touch just might. For when archangels play, mortals break.....
***Let me start by saying, that i purchased this book solely because one of my favorite authors recommended it. It sat on my desk for weeks, i tried several times to get into it. But always found something better to read. I finally sat down and gave it a try and i was not disappointed. It is not your usual vampire story. It is mainly based around archangels, but not like any angels you have ever read about. Vampires are just a "by product" of the angels 'so to speak'. I got so into the story i finished it in 2 days. The banter between the guild hunter and the archangel Raphael is funny and intriguing. I can't wait until the next book in the series.
