"Someday she would write about this moment. She would write a book about a girl who fell in love with a god, and then, to her complete surprise,
discovered the god loved her back."
discovered the god loved her back."
The real world ceases to exist when I read Tiffany Reisz. I feel completely submerged in her world, her stories, her characters, and I never want reality to intrude.
Fantastic story, and even though we already know how Nora and Soren began, we never got the whole story. This time we get to walk through their entire "courtship" through the eyes of Nora (Eleanor) and not one word of it felt like I had read it before. Every word was like discovering them all over again. The magnetism that is Soren and the instantaneous pull that Nora had on him. Ever wonder what love at first sight is like? I realize that this is all a taboo subject matter story, and I just don't care. The layers that are Soren and Nora are so much more than the BDSM world they play in or the fact that he is a priest and she was fifteen when they met. It seemed as though their souls had been seeking each other out over lifetimes. The way neither one can live with or without each other. The burden or blessing that is their religion (depending on how you look at it). It all blends to make this one of my top reads of the year. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I would. Take the jump and start with The Siren, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Tiffany Reisz lives with her boyfriend (a reformed book reviewer) and two cats (one good, one evil). She graduated with a B.A. in English from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and is making both her parents and her professors proud by writing BDSM erotica under her real name. She has five piercings, one tattoo, and has been arrested twice.
When not under arrest, Tiffany enjoys Latin Dance, Latin Men, and Latin Verbs. She dropped out of a conservative southern seminary in order to pursue her dream of becoming a smut peddler. Johnny Depp’s aunt was her fourth grade teacher. Her first full-length novel THE SIREN was inspired by a desire to tie up actor Jason Isaacs (on paper). She hopes someday life will imitate art (in bed).
If she couldn't write, she would die.
