Wow. This one just sucked me right in and punched me in the face. At first, I didn't understand what was going on, because the synopsis does not do this story justice. And about 3 chapters in, I remember who Marcus is and his ties to the Joker's Wrath MC. (We got a glimpse of Marcus in Mack and Jayla's story, and a very small peek at Katia). Then all the pieces snap together and I'm on board. And what a whirl-wind story. Drama, passion, criminals, and love. All the components for a HOT love story. It really does suck you in and you forget that it's a short story and you turn that last page......smack! Cliff Hanger!
Take a chance on this one, even if you haven't read the Joker's Wrath MC series, Marcus and Katia are a couple very much worth their own storyline.
