For years after Shades had lost Skylar, he’d tried satisfying the emptiness of losing her with booze, pussy and the club. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but you get the full impact if you have read the first 2 so you know the history of Skylar, Cole, and Chase. Skylar fell in love with Shades at eighteen, but Shades made a stupid move and lost her. For 10 years, he regretted the mistake he made. Now she rides in on the back of a brothers bike, and he fights the temptation to break the club rules and go after a brothers ol'lady. Twists, turns, history, redemption, and passion complete the journey for Shades and Skylar. But what really made me laugh out loud was the banter between the MC Brothers, Ghost is hilarious! I really did find myself laughing out loud. And I know that's not what you are shooting for in a romance, but it certainly did break up the tension. Not my absolute favorite MC series, but definitely one of my top 10 favorites. Can't wait to get Ghosts story.
