C. M. Stunich--Loving Me, Trusting You (Triple M #2)

Adult Romance 18+

The Triple M Motorcycle Gang has a new president in Austin Sparks, the bad boy biker that swept Amy Cross off her feet. And nobody's happier about that than Gaine Kelley. Now that his best friend has finally found the woman of his dreams, Gaine's free to go after Mireya. But what if she isn't ready yet? What if the demons from her past howl so loud she can't hear him calling?

Mireya Sawyer isn't ready for love. Not yet. Maybe not ever. Especially not when the one thing she's always fought for is called into question. Triple M may not be a 'real' MC, but they're posing as one, and there are people that don't like that. People who can't accept the way they do things and are willing to take the time to put a stop to it. With several rival gangs circling around, threatening the rights of the women in Triple M, Mireya knows it's time to forget her love affair with Austin and move on. Thing is, Gaine's not willing to stand on the sidelines anymore. He loves her, but can she trust him?

{3.5 stars}

I had to drop half a star because I just don't like Mireya, I don't think any reader will. Don't get me wrong, I understand why she is the way she is. But it was exhausting getting thru her past. Gaine is really why I kept reading, I would love to have a boyfriend like him. Sweet, sexy and biker hot. But Mireya can't see what's right in front of her face until she almost loses it forever. We pick up right where book one leaves off, with Austin in charge and the MC still on the go trying to keep the rival MC's off their backs. I miss Austin and Amy, there story was more captivating, but I do have a soft spot for Gaine. He wears his heart on his sleeve (and his shoulder) where Mireya is concerned, but she keeps pushing him away. I can't believe he didn't give up a lot sooner, but I guess the heart wants what the heart wants. Not sure how the rival MC war is going to play out in the long run, it's kind of confusing with all the secrets and how Melissa Diamond figures in all of it. Amy's best friend has joined them, and I'm guessing that Beck's story is up next. But all in all it keeps my attention and I will definitely keep reading...
